First Fantasy Life Trailer

Just a trailer for Fantasy life, Im going to do a whole sort of feature of all the infor I can gather about the game soon.

Fantasy Life Moves From 2D to 3DS!

This news isn't that new, but I thought it would interesting to blog about. Level 5's Fantasy Life that was coming to the DS but now its coming to the 3DS and getting a visual upgrade too.

The game centres around the player creating an in game avatar and then experiencing a fantasy world. The game will have music composed by legendary music composer Nobuo Uematsu. who has composed tracks for the Final Fantasy series.

The games illustration will be provided by Yoshitaka Amano who has done illustrations for the Final Fantasy series.

Dragon Quest Creator Likes 3DS Communication Abilities

This interview is actually a bit old but I thought I would mention it anyway. In an interview with IUP, Dragon Quest creator, Yuji Horii, to talk about the future of the Dragon Quest games.

There isn't much about a 3DS quest but there is this little snippet.

"I can’t say that the possibility is not there for a Dragon Quest on the 3DS, but I can’t really go into the possibilities either. I find the system very interesting in the fact that the graphics are in 3D without the need for glasses, and that the system has great communication abilities, which I really like."


The chances that there will be a 3DS Dragon Quest are actually pretty high seeing as one of the modes, tag mode, that Dragon Quest IX for the DS made such a big use of is now built into the 3DS and now known as Streetpass.


It will probably only come after we have had the release of Dragon Quest X for the Wii.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Footage

Gameplay footage of the Ocarina of Time game being ported to the Nintendo 3DS has surfaced on youtube. Im afraid that it's a little blurry because the 3D is on and it keeps panning out but you do get some glimpses of what its going to be like.

Breakdown: Kingdom Hearts 3D

Kingdom Hearts 3D, is a game currently being developed for the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS. There is scarce information about the game but what info there is we have collected in this blog post so that you don't have to search and scan for information.

A lot of the information we have gathered, here at 3DS Roleplay is from an interview of Tetsuya Nomora but there is other new information as well.

Plot

The game will focus on Sora and Riku, and the player will take the role of both characters but it is not known why this is or why it is significant. We do know that it will connect directly to Kingdom hearts 3, which is possibly the most exciting news of all.

Whether game favourites like Donald and Goofy will be playable is unknown but I think we can assume, yes. Plot details are slim but we hope that at the January 18th event we will learn more.

The Disney worlds that will appear in the game are unknown for now but it has been said that we will see a few new ones. So let the speculation begin on what those worlds are!

Gameplay Elements/3D Effect

Nomura also stated that he wanted a theme of 'Trust' in the game. This is interesting and we can only speculate what the gameplay implications of this will be.

We know that the game will involve playing as Sora and Riku and maybe this 'Trust' theme will tie into that. Switching between the two, its noted, will be central to the gameplay.

As for the 3D effect Nomura said he wanted -

"A KH you can touch, a falling Sora, a flying Riku,"

Whatever this means it sounds pretty awesome.

Kingdom Hearts 3D to be Showcased at January Conference.

Kingdom Hearts 3D will centre on Sora and Riku (left to right)

An upcoming conference titled, 'Square Enix 1st Production Department Premier', will be showcasing the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D for the Nintendo 3DS.

The conference was initially going to be just a press event and focusing on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII but is now going to a be a 'premier event' for fans.

The focus will be on showing video footage of the games being showcased and hopefully this means that we will get to see lots of footage about Kingdom hearts 3D (temporary subtitle). This event will give us a good idea of what the story of the game will be and hopefully more details about the game will be released.

The event takes place January 18th
